Overview

As an apprentice you will have a job and earn a wage whilst building up knowledge and skills within a business environment. These apprenticeships are a framework of qualifications made up of a Standard for Customer Service with an end point assessment. They also include Functional Skills (English and Maths).

Alternatively, you may be directed to study a framework of qualifications in Customer Service, Functional Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS).

How will it be delivered?

Formal training for all qualifications is delivered within the college. College attendance is required by day release during term time. Out of term time you will be at work on your allocated college day unless days off are changed or holidays are taken. Training at work may be formal or informal – as required during the working day.

Entry requirements

You must have achieved a Level 2 qualification in Business and have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or C or equivalent. You must also pass an initial assessment, secure work as an apprentice and have one satisfactory reference.
