Students who would like to start a career working in dental health would benefit from this qualification which could lead to employment at a dentist surgery as a support worker or receptionist. Alternatively learners can study further for other dental health work or an apprenticeship.
This level 2 qualification will enable students to look at the principles of infection prevention in dentistry as well as general and oral health and looking at dental treatments and dental anatomy. In addition to dental reception and administration work learners will study communication in a dental setting. Progression from this course could be to level 3 in Dental Nursing.
Entry requirements for our courses depend on the specific requirements of each Programme of Study and an individual’s previous experience, which will all be discussed during the interview process.
The following is a guide as to what you might be expected to achieve to gain entry on to a particular level of a course.4 GCSEs grade 3 or above or equivalent including Maths and English Language

Successful students may progress onto the next level in their chosen subject, into employment or an apprenticeship, or, after a level 3 qualification, to Higher Education at the University Centre Grimsby or other other University.
