Our specialised Games Design course covers areas such as digital graphics, games platforms and technologies, designing game stories and characters, games promotion, interface design, 3D modelling and animation and building 2D and 3D games. You will also learn to analyse communication and design, understanding how games are produced whilst learning how games production teams operate. The skills gained on this course aren't just limited to games design; they could also be used in other career areas that require 3D graphics and applications, for example, product and packaging design, architecture and animation. A previous trip has been to London Comic Con and there have been guest speakers from Ardman Animations, GCHQ, Sony and Microsoft
When you do a vocational qualification you will learn in a workshop, salon or studio as appropriate for your subject and you will usually be assessed through practical assessments, projects, assignments and oral and written questions.
