Overview

As an apprentice you will have a job and earn a wage whilst building up knowledge and skills within the construction industry, specifically in brickwork. This apprenticeship is a framework of qualifications made up of an NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations, a Technical Diploma in Brickwork, Functional Skills (English and Maths), Employee Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS).

How will it be delivered?

Formal training for all qualifications is delivered within the college. College attendance is required by day release during term time. Out of term time you will be at work on your allocated college day unless days off are changed or holidays are taken. Training at work may be formal or informal – as required during the working day.

Entry requirements

You must have GCSE English and Maths at grade 3 or E or equivalent. You must also pass an initial assessment, secure work as an apprentice and have one satisfactory reference.
