As an apprentice you will have a job and earn a wage whilst building up knowledge and skills within the agricultural industry. These apprenticeships are a framework of qualifications made up of a Diploma in Work-Based Agriculture, Functional Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS).
Formal training for all qualifications is delivered within the college. College attendance is required by day release during term time. Out of term time you will be at work on your allocated college day unless days off are changed or holidays are taken. Training at work may be formal or informal – as required during the working day.
You must have achieved a Level 2 qualification in Agriculture and have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or 4 or equivalent. You must also pass an initial assessment, secure work as an apprentice and have one satisfactory reference.
