The Grimsby Town Sports and Education Trust offers young sports people (16-18 years) the chance to develop in a professional sports program whilst studying for a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (worth up to 3 A-Levels) in partnership with Franklin College. The Futsal Scholarship resembles a Youth Team football apprenticeship with scholars training four times a week and competing against other professional club’s futsal teams. The unique aspect of the course is that the scholars get the chance to apply their knowledge from their BTEC Sport qualification to enhancing their development as an athlete.

The Grimsby Town sports and education trust
programme gives you the opportunity to study and play futsal and resembles a youth team sports apprenticeship where you will train four times a week and then compete against other professional football clubs. You will compete in a regional league between October and May and enter several national cup competitions. The team has won various EFL national titles over the last three years.
