Overview
An advanced level course, this programme will help you to develop an in-depth knowledge of electrical installations. It will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a qualified electrician. Throughout the programme you will develop skills and knowledge in inspection and testing as well as fault finding. Theory sessions include electrical design and advanced principles.
You must pass a colour blind test to be eligible for the course.
This course has a practical basis. If you want to learn core engineering practical skills as well as doing an academic qualification, then this programme is for you.

Entry requirements
Ideally at least 5 GCSEs at grade 9-5 or A*-C including English and Maths or a Level 2 qualification, but this is subject to discussion at your interview. If you haven't already achieved a GCSE grade 5 or grade C in English or Maths, then you will study either GCSE or Functional Skills English or Maths alongside your other qualifications.
