Students who are interested in the added work experience aspect of the new T Level qualification but are not quite ready for level 3 would benefit from this new Level 2 course. Students can improve their GCSE Maths and/or English grades whilst adding to their knowledge of the Education and Childcare sector and gaining confidence and experience in preparation for the Work Experience aspect of the Level 3 T Level.
T Levels are new and exciting courses developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to prepare learners for the needs of industry and include extensive placement hours. Both level 2 and level 3 include Employer set projects and the courses focus on vocational skills.
As well as extensive work experience and an employer set project the course includes classroom elements in college. This will include child nutrition, developmental stages of children, learning through play and children's first aid. The employer set project will reflect what employers expect of students in the future and widen the students' knowledge of the subject. Maths and English will be industry specific enabling students to understand the use of both in the sector. This is a great preparation for study at a higher level and working in this important industry.
