Overview

THE COURSE

The course combines science and social science, both of which focus on the diverse work carried out by laboratory scientists and enables students to gain both a theoretical and a practical feel for the lab science sector.

Students benefit from having access to a crime scene room, enabling them to gain first-hand experience of forensic evidence collection, including DNA collection and blood splatter analysis.

Assessment on the course includes a range on internally assessed units using both theoretical and practical assessment, in addition to externally assessed examination units in both year one and year two of the programme.
