Course Description

The aim of this qualification is to introduce you to using computerised accounting software. This will enable you to confidently carry out routine accounting tasks to use in your own business or as part of a larger finance team. You’ll also have guidance on entering data and learning basic formulae via the spreadsheet software unit. As a standalone qualification, or as a first step towards the intermediate and advanced levels, it will allow you to move up to further study in computerised accounting, bookkeeping or accountancy.
This is an ideal course if you are a practising or part-qualified bookkeeper who already has a basic knowledge of manual bookkeeping, you are looking for new finance administration skills to enhance your career prospects or you own your own a small business and want a basic understanding of computerised accounting

Entry Requirements: You are required to have basic computer skills and knowledge of basic accounting transactions. Completion of the AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping, although not essential would be advantageous. As with all courses a keen interest and motivation will help you to achieve great results.

Progression: It will demonstrate your knowledge of inputting accounting data in to a computerised accounting package (Sage Line 50) and basic spreadsheets (Excel) to potential employers. It will also give you a recognised qualification.
