The Access Programme for Fashion recruits students (aged 19+ only) from all sections of the community, representing a wide range of experience and ambitions for progression into the fashion world. Studying life drawing, pattern cutting and garment construction, you’ll get a first-hand taste of what you can expect as you move onto a degree course and beyond – into the world of working in the fashion industry.
What will you be learning?
Access to Fashion gives you a range of experience suitable for progression into a variety of paths within the realm of fashion, including fashion design, fashion promotion, fashion marketing, construction of clothes, styling, menswear and womenswear. Your Access Programme gives you the experience and qualifications that you need, as well as the opportunity to build a strong portfolio for acceptance onto a higher education course at Hull College. Fashion is one of the largest and most exciting industries in the UK. Over 700,000 people are employed in the fashion and retail sector, making it the second biggest employer after the NHS. The industry has a wide offering of career pathways including design, textiles, social media, communications, marketing, brand management, retail management, photography and styling.
